PaX-Primo from VATECH, the leading dental and medical imaging system manufacturer, was chosen as the GD of the Year.

The Good Design Selection, organized by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and hosted by Korean Institute of Design Promotion, nominated PaX-Primo in the medical equipment segment because of its green design for saving energy and for lowering the barrier for elderly and disabled users based on the latest trend of the universal design.

By replacing the conventional analogue film with a digital sensor, it eliminated the need for the film developing chemical which may pollute the underground water supply. Its cover and packing materials are also recycled and environmentally friendly. The ergonomic design maximized the  effective space utilization with a small foot print.

The soothing colors and contemporary outlines provide the user with the sense of convenience and stability. The "L" shape floor base accommodates different types of a patient positioning: sitting, stand up and wheel-chair accessible.

PaX-Primo is the next generation digital panoramic X-ray system offered by VATECH and equipped with the  Auto Focusing compensate the patient movement while taking a X-ray on children and elderly. The product debut in June 2008 attracted a lot of attention.

The design of PaX-Primo, dental X-ray, coincides with the latest trend of being “slim and green” and distinguished with an excellent structure and functionalities to be selected as the GD 2009 selection organized by the MKE.
